TONIGHT ON CONGRESS SQUARE: JAZZANOVA FEAT. PAUL RANDOLPH AND BOOKA SHADE
Jazzanova is a German Berlin-based producer collective formed in 1995. The group's music is characterized by nu jazz, chill-out and jazz house as well as Latin jazz styles.
Within the past three years JAZZANOVA LIVE FEAT. PAUL RANDOLPH played over 150 shows around the globe including festivals like MELT!, FLOW, CAPETOWN JAZZ, JAVA JAZZ, and NORTH SEA JAZZ to name but a few. Jazzanova producers Stefan Leisering & Axel Reinemer succeeded in bringing the spirit of their productions, remixes and extensive DJ touring onto the live stage. Anyone that has had the chance to see them play live knows how magical this experience can be.
Booka Shade is a German house duo. It is made up of Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, veterans of the Frankfurt electronic music scene who are and have been one of the most interesting and acclaimed electronic duos in Europe for the past two decades. 20 years, dozens of EP’s and 6 albums later Booka Shade have become two of the most significant artists in their genre. 2017 marks a new beginning for them. 'Galvany Street’, a brand new album made in collaboration with Craig Walker, the former singer of Archive, is the result of 3 years of hard work, and it sets the tone for an even better and brighter future.
